Our philosophy

The Surrey Sound of Music’s philosophy is to make learning music fun whilst gaining the confidence, skills, techniques and discipline required to become a musician. We teach music for graded exams, usually following the ABRSM exam board or just as a hobby! In order to maintain a steady progress, reports are also provided at the end of term, or end of year. This gives an overview of achievements, development and future goals.

Our lessons

All lessons are fun, enjoyable and taught in students’ homes, where learning is in a comfortable and relaxed environment. We aim to provide tuition where the student can feel most at ease, making learning that extra bit more inspiring! The Surrey Sound of Music is based in Carshalton and travel to students within a 10 mile radius. Lessons are given in 30 minute, 45 minute or 1 hour lessons.

Our Teachers

All of our teachers have a real passion for music and love to see their pupils develop. They will prepare their students for exams if required and help them to reach their own personal goals.

All teachers are fully CRB checked.

Please peruse our individual tutor pages to find out more infomation.
